When the exterior of your house fades, you give it a fresh coat of paint. When the car has a dent, you have bodywork done. Why then, shouldn’t a woman do the same thing when her breasts lose their aesthetic appeal?
A Breast Augmentation Revision is a surgical procedure designed to correct physical or aesthetic issues that occur after the insertion of initial breast implants. One size implant may be swapped out for another, either larger or smaller. Different size implants can be used to correct asymmetry. A woman may decide she would rather have silicone implants, which will look and feel more natural than saline. Additionally, a Breast Lift can be performed to raise a sagging chest.
5 Signs Your Breast Lift Might Need a Facelift:
1.Your breasts look ‘deflated’. Large breasts are heavy, cuasing them to sink on the chest; aging tissues can spur a loss of breast volume.
2.You are suddenly self-conscious about your large breast size. Even if you were excited about D cups six years ago, it may not be part of the woman you are today.
3.Your breasts are too small. Phyiscial proportions can change, after childbirth for example, and you may find the implant size you chose all those years ago no longer shows off your curvaceous figure.
4.Your implants have moved. It is possible for the implant pocket to shift, allowing your breast implants to reposition. This can result in a malformation of breast shape, as well as asymmetry.
5.Your breasts feel hard and artificial. A capsule of scar tissue will naturally form around the breast implant; this normally does not cause any problems. In rare cases though, the scar tissue will harden and tighten around the implant. This can make the breasts painful and unnatural looking.
It is not true that Breast Implants need to be replaced after ten years. They do not ‘expire’ or need to be removed after a decade without good reason. If a leak does occur, or the breasts dramatically change in appearance, a revision procedure may be warranted. This can happen anytime during the life of a breast implant, not necessarily before the ten-year mark.
